His Dr. never told them to worry about having children, even with the CML and Gleevec, and they didn't. Everything went perfectly and baby and mom are doing well. One good part of this is that they were able to harvest the cord blood, in case he may need it in the future. They will have to wait and see if it is a match but all in all it has been a good day. The hospital told them that they were able to extract an extra large amount of cord blood and that is a good thing. I'm sure that if the blood doesn't match him they will donate it, if possible, to someone else. Just wanted to share the good and positive news with everyone. Thanks for sharing in our joy.
