Guest guest
Hi, Karrie had no trouble with her eyes...until this year. I drive her 208 miles so she can go to the same eye doctor who saw her at 5 days old. He checks her once a year. Her eye turns in, too. Her vision seems to have gotten worse over the course of this year. She now wears glasses. She is far-sighted. Hope this helps. Guest guest
Kaitlyn's eye did this also. She had to wear an eye patch for a few months and this seemed to correct the problem. Unlike the others who have replied, Kaitlyn is very near sighted. One eye was a lot worse than the other. This was in part responsible for the weak right eye. I understand that sometimes surgery is necessary. You definitely want to get this checked out. Good Luck. Guest guest
We've been there! Murielle is a bit far sighted, but her eyes would alternate (one would turn in for a bit, then they would be straight, then the other would turn in...she could blink and change it all). We caught it before there was a " dominant " eye, so the doctor felt surgery would be the most effective correction, as she is only a small bit far sighted. We did the surgery, and still she would have the crossing, but not nearly as frequently, or to as much a degree, so she is now wearing glasses. She HATES them, but tolerates them for short periods (I have to be engaging her for them to stay on...as soon as I turn my back, she " alters " them). After 5 months with the glasses, the eye doc said she is doing so well that we only have to wear them for OT and PT sessions daily. I am so glad! She does like to wear them when we are reading together, so I think she realizes that they help her to see... Hope this helps, and is not just the semi-conscious ramblings of a sleep-deprived mother,

In fact we've had it twice and probably will have to have it again in the future. Right now Sara's eye(s) will turn in when sick or real tired. Surgery wasn't that bad, really the easiest medical procedure she's ever had Kathy mom to Sara
Guest guest
never had a big problem with this but one eye will sometimes turn in a bit when he's tired and not wearing glasses. He has worn glasses for many years but mainly for distance, they were always lying around the house but the doctor said it is all right, he really doesn't need them around here. He always wears them outside or in the car but looks over or under them to read. Jessie
