I've been on MTX for about seven years--it's really helped and there've been

no major problems.

......I would like you to remove me from the list temporarily.

Starting April 4th, and starting back up April 12th. I'm sorry I have

just moved and I can't find the paperwork that tells me how to do this

so I hope you understand. We are going on a trip to Hawaii tomorrow

which I hope to enjoy very much. Thanks. Laurie

Hehehe.....unfortunately, most parents in my younger days, didn't want their

kids to watch them either, because of the imitating of the crazy

antics....for some strange reason, has NEVER done that....I'm surprised

too, as he loves to " tap " on the tv and furniture with his

toothbrushes....BTW, we have gone " cold turkey " and have taken everything

away from him that's regarded as " tapping material " !!

Lots of our " special kids " for some reason, are very visual, and " get "

slapstick comedy, while the jokes and innuendoes fly right over their

heads....it was stated somewhere that a handicapped girl back in the 40's or

50's would not " speak " until she was introduced to the Stooges....ever since

then, they have always made a rule of visiting sick children in

hospitals.....great guys.....

Anyway, that's all for now...nyuk, nyuk, nyuk.........pick out two!

P.S. If the convention is held in Vegas.....soitenly I'll be

there.....(Stooges one, that is!)

Hehehe....what did I say? Come on, now, fill me in........!! No, seriously,

my thoughts and prayers are with you and Seth.....even a " simple " surgery can

be complicated by our worries for our " special " kiddos.....remember 's

dental surgery? I got so pissed off when people's expressions changed from

" OMG....surgery! " to " Oh, just DENTAL? " GEEEEEEEEZ.......isn't that

something? Just cause it's a tooth doesn't mean it ain't surgery and not

just as serious.....those people don't have a clue.....guess I should forgive

em..... " Those People " are the parents who haven't been " blessed " with

children like ours and will never experience the exhiliration and devastation

we go through.

Enough, enough, or as Moe would say " Take your time but hurry up! "

I'm gone,

Dear Sara:

I think it is also all our work habits, lack of sleep, all the

things going on, as well as we are getting older. Some of the brain fog

is the virus and liver effects, but, a great deal is also " normal " day

to day habits, and I can't find any excuse in my case, except age. Marty

Thanks all of yall, for being here for me. I knew, in my heart, I could count on each of you. It's funny, Terri used to say to me that my "list mail takes up my (her) time" and that they weren't living our relationship, she and I were. LOL Just when you think you've got it all figured out . . . boom. Anyway, enough of that. Today is a sorrowful day, as has been this week, since Tuesday morning. I'm talking baby steps today and taking it one day at a time. Thanks so much for being here to take those steps with me. Together we will fight and beat this dragon. God bless each of you . . .

Always,

SJ

Hi ita:

No you didn't offend me one bit. I'm used to getting questions about my

other names.

I thoroughly enjoy quilting. I took it with me to the hospital and did it

between therapy sessions.

My knee that I hurt this past week is much better. I'm so happy that it

wasn't a break just a muscle tear. I'm back to normal now. I still have fear

of the dreaded going down stairs. I have no problems going up or getting in

or out of a car.

I have to thank you all for all the advice you have given me. I think this

helped me to heal faster. I did everything you all said to do. Thanks again.

Hugs,

Carole - AKA Thorn Willowweb, AKA Daisy Proudfoot of Standelf.

God grant me the Senility to forget the people I never liked anyway, the

good fortune to run into the ones I do, and the eyesight to tell the

difference.

Is there anything specific that can be done for the "going down stairs" syndrome? Walking up hill, climbing up stairs...no problem. Going the other direction, no fun.

Haven't found anything that seems to help...but hope springs eternal...

Bleu-

I realized I didn't see a response yet to my request

for the doses and types of B vitamins you are taking

lately. I may have missed the post if you replied. I'm

still interested in this as you've had some useful

responses with your Cpn fight using them.

Hi all

I have some good news to share, I had my results from my last lot of tests

today. The quantative pcr result is now 0.03% this has dropped from 85% at

relapse last June, and 1% in January this year. My oncologist is very pleased

with reduction. The marrow test failed, but he feels it is not necessary to

repeat at this stage as the other test was so good. He says I have now had a 2

log reduction twice, is this true, I feel really well again, and have not had a

recurrence of the lung difficulties i had when I relapsed. So I'm going to

Queensland here in Australia for a few days on my own to gather my thoughts and

decide what to do now!!!
