Thank you to all who responded to my recent post. Today, after resting with

my feet up a little over the weekend, I'm back to normal. My legs look

skinny to me now! I felt exactly as C. described, like the " skin was too

tight " . It must have been from Gleevec. What I hadn't mentioned was that I

was away for a couple of days when it happened. I was staying in a hotel and

eating restaurant food. I guess it was saltier than I knew. I will try to

eat more of the natural diuretic foods mentioned. I also need to eat more

foods that add natural potassium. There's more to being on Gleevec than just

taking the pill, which I'm starting to find out. C., thank you for

mentioning the " ide " . If Dr. Druker uses that one, I'd like to have it in

my

medicine chest for an experience like I just had. I wouldn't need to take it

daily, but only in an extreme case. It's a blood pressure medicine, but

works for edema/fluid, which I'll remember to mention when asking for a

prescription. My dr. doesn't believe that fluid retention was from Gleevec,

which

disturbs me. I totally think it was related to taking Gleevec, but caused by

a change in diet. I'll be more careful from now on. Thanks everyone!
