Guest guest
I have a question. I wonder if any of you had an experience with sudden fluid retention in the legs and feet? I had that happen within the last few days. I became quite alarmed. I spoke with my oncologist and am supposed to call back on Monday. I am not on any type of water pill which my dr. is reluctant to prescribe. I have borderline low potassium already. I had two nights of extreme swelling of my lower legs and feet with a sudden weight gain of about five pounds. Today it is much better after being able to put my feet up for longer periods of time over the weekend. About half of the weight is also gone, but I feel swollen around the eyes more than usual too. I'm a little concerned about kidney function. My oncologist said my kidney function has always been good and didn't think this sudden fluid retention was gleevec related. I tend to think otherwise. What do you think? What could cause this to happen suddenly? I appreciate your opinion on this matter. Thanks! in NY dx. 1/04 400 mg.
