Guest guest
Hi All, I was waiting until my relatively new temp job at an HIV/AIDS clinic became permanent and fulltime in order to share the good news with you. I've been looking for stable employment for so long. HOWEVER, on Friday I was invited to attend a staff meeting of the whole organization (bigger than just the clinic where I work) in downtown DC. Well, as it turns out, the organization (must remain nameless because it's famous) is hanging on by its fingernails and has to cut $2.8 MILLION in spending in the next few months. I'd say that my chances of getting hired, or even keeping my temp job are shaky at best. And I was told by so many people what a great place it would be to work. I did offer to help them shore up their leaky old ship with ideas I've developed based on experience with other non-profits and in government. The hope is that they'll hire me as a contractor to help them dig themselves out of this hole they're in. Anyhow, what I hoped was going to be wonderfully good news for those of you who have been so supportive, is now a huge disappointment. Of course I'm still looking for other jobs. And today I bought a couple of books that I hope will be helpful -- one is Wayne Dyer's " Power of Intention. " I'm way past due for some good luck and my intention is to get a whole world of it! Hope your lives are faring better than mine. Love, L
