Guest guest Posted September 30, 2005 Report Share Posted September 30, 2005 Hi Barb, Blisters the size of chicken pox blisters seem suspicious for a recurrent viral infection - which could very well be related to IM since it does affect various aspects of the immune system. I recommend you consider going to an infectious disease specialist next time this happens, and asking him/her to culture the fluid inside to see what sort of viruses might be lurking there. Or not; they probably won't be able to do much about it anyway. But it would be interesting to know, and if others were experiencing similar viruses, you might be able to publish it!
