Guest guest
says it retracts when the ball is released - interesting but expensive though since a regular basic ball will cost around $65 and this one sells for $148. does okay with lightweight ball and granny-bowling (although he is starting to use his fingers) - he turned 9 in August. ===================== From: Susie Covey <susiecovey@...> Date: 2006/09/13 Wed PM 07:33:05 CDT Down Syndrome Treatment Subject: Re: Bowling Ball http://www.ssww.com/store/product/sky A lady sent this to me. They do have the balll I was looking at! I've not seen the ball up close but it must have a cut out for the plastic piece to going into the ball and it rolls just like the regular type. Also balls are as light as 6 lbs if weight is the issue. ===================== From: Susie Covey <susiecovey@...> Date: 2006/09/12 Tue PM 08:46:18 CDT Down Syndrome Treatment Subject: Bowling Ball I hope some one will know understand me!My Kayla 10 years old is joined a special needs bowling team.I have saw a bowling ball is has a plastic handle and is 10 lb's. Guest guest
check out K-mart or Wal-Mart for an inexpensive ball (or check out a bowling pro shop for a used ball) - actually even just uses the balls at the bowling alley for practice and competitions and those are free!! :-) Good luck to Kayla!! ===================== From: Susie Covey <susiecovey@...> Date: 2006/09/14 Thu PM 07:21:11 CDT Down Syndrome Treatment Subject: Re: Re: Bowling Ball Wow for that price Kayla will have to granny bowl also! Guest guest
There is a website www.abilitations.com that has a number of items that we use....actually some items that SRJ uses too. But the bowling ball - with retractable handle was in there - also a ball with rectangular openings for the fingers. Tina
