Hi Lynn,

I have had plenty in the past......but not for months now! knock on wood.

Per Dr. Druker, cause is unknown..........but it is a Gleevec side effect.

They do resolve on their own........not totally sure what helps, but you

could put a warm compress on it (like a folded washcloth)..........

Often I can actually feel when they happen......it feels like a sharp

'ping'.....

which is when the vessel bursts.

So, you just joined the 'ugly eye' club!

Also, I eat blueberries, gobs of them.......and that is supposed to be good

for eyes

and the integrity of cell membranes.....and who can argue with eating

blueberries!

Hi Lynn -

I get occasional eye bleeds. If I eat too much grapefruit in the

fruit salad, the next day I'll get an eye bleed. It goes away within

a week.

p.s. I've been a lurker here for a while, read the posts fairly often,

but haven't had anything meaningful to contribute before now.
