Guest guest
Hi Amy -- I'm sorry to read of all the increased side effects that you are having. Glad the stones were removed, though. I hope you are more comfortable soon. love, Kathy > I survived the Kidney stone removal! And thats the good news! Guest guest
Hi Amy, Sorry you are feeling so cruddy. How long has it been since your kidney stone removal? Do they have to knock you out completely for the surgery? If so, I know that anesthesia makes me feel really crummy for a few days afterwards. Maybe that's it. Hope you are feeling better soon. Guest guest
Amy, I wonder if you want to talk to your doctor about wearing prescription compression stockings to help manage the symptoms in your lower legs. I now wear these all day after having the blood clots in my leg and lungs (they're designed to help prevent a recurrence of DVT). They improve circulation by forcing fluid out of the lower legs. Even before my blood clots, I had a lot of edema in my lower legs from Gleevec, and the pressure would get extremely uncomfortable. I don't know about you, but sometimes it feels like the legs could just about burst open. Anyway, the compression stockings, though certainly not likely to appear on fashion runways any time soon, are a great help. If I don't wear them, I get very uncomfortable. Prescription stockings have a certain amount of compression. They are expensive but much better than the ones you can buy off the shelf. Your insurance may cover the cost. Also, I'm assuming you've talked to your doctor about this situation and that an unrelated circulatory disorder has been ruled out? Try the stockings - you may be pleasantly surprised.
