Automakers' Mobility Programs can help

Buying a new or used family car -- or buying first wheels for a young driver -- is always an exciting event, but for families of children with disabilities, there can be the added burden of adapting the vehicle for wheelchair use or other special needs. Fortunately, many car manufacturers have Mobility Programs that reimburse buyers up to $1,000 for disability-related modifications. On the sites listed below, you can find out more information on what each manufacturer offers, how to apply for the programs, and in some cases the names of approved contractors for making the adjustments needed to provide a comfortable ride for all family members.
