Unfortunately, Viacord is a private cord blood banking company. They

make money off of storage and the public does NOT have access to this

privately stored cord blood. And it's extremely unlikely that a

particular family who pays thousands of dollars to store this will ever

need it, while others who DO need it now can't access it. Same with Cord

Blood Registry, also a private company.

I had a private cord blood company that wanted to advertise on my site

and I turned them down. They were extremely rude when I told them I

opposed the concept of private cord blood banking.

A better place to find unbiased information is here:

-My Apraxia/CP daughter has a confirmed genetic deformity. The only

cord blood tested was my ds born 3years after her to make sure he did

not have the same deformity. That was the Genetics at Columbia that

had it tested. He is fine.
