Guest guest
Hey MJ, You've had problems with bruises (externally) for as long as I can remember and this must be of concern to you -- especially the part about the possibility of internal bleeding. Are your platelets the culprits? Do you hurt? I hate thinking of you going through one thing after another but your spirit never flags. Are you considering BMS? Or AMN? I don't know a lot about either one but you could go on Jerry's site to the BMS Discussion Group and see if there are problems with that drug re low platelets. Worth a shot. Thinking of you, Love, L [ ] MRI, hematoma Hi: The MRI showed that the 'mass', large bruise is just that, a large bruise (which emerged spontaneously, has persisted for about 7 weeks, and appears to have a small hematoma which should recede) Of course, I feel happy that it's not a tumor. However, I do worry about the platelets and their functioning. The primary care doctor is concerned that such a thing might happen internally, and so am I. She is going to discuss all of this with the hematologist. Anyway, I've been temporarily off the gleevec but will soon return to it. It's good to be off the high dose for a while. Sincerely, MJ
Guest guest
---Hi , I've also had problems with prolonged bleeding. Maybe I'm a hemophiliac or something. However, (and I don't know so much about BMS) I don't think I see it as a drug without similar side effects. The little I read indicates it does have similar effects. Of course, if the CML were to speed up or increase, I would hope to go on BMS. How are you? love MJ In , " Loewenkamp " <loewen1@c...> wrote: > Hey MJ, > > You've had problems with bruises (externally) for as long as I can remember and this must be of concern to you -- especially the part about the possibility of internal bleeding. > Are your platelets the culprits?
