Guest guest
Hi Tammy, I wouldn't be concerned about the slight fluctuation in your WBC, usually those of us on Gleevec have lower WBC counts. The drop in the WBC isn't really that significant. If I remember correctly you have been on IM for a couple of years so, this is all pretty normal stuff. The anemia is more of a concern, which is really a side effect of IM that many of us have to put up with. Hope all else is well, Cheers, Cheryl-Anne > > I dont write often but I have a concern. I visit my ONC every 2 months blood work and a Dr visit. 2 months ago when I went to see her my WBC was around 5.5. I just went a week ago and my WBC was at 3.2. She sis not seen concerned about it, as a matter of fact she never brought it up at all. She was only concerned about the fact that I was also anemic. I got a call from her office a few days later telling me that I needed to have another iron transfusion, but again no mention of the large drop in the WBC. > > Should I be concerned about this or just wait to see what my next blood count turns out to be. > > Thanks for the advice in advance. > > Tammy Hunt > > > --------------------------------- > for Good > Click here to donate to the Hurricane Katrina relief effort. > >
