Guest guest
I think how much we tell people depends on how comfortable we are with being open. I have always been open to the world about everything in my life, so it is totally natural to say to someone who asks me where I've been, " I just spent four days in the hospital with pneumonia. " Or on another occasion, 'I have leukemia and sometimes get overtired. " I now have some memory problems. When I do not recognize people, I tell them, " I find myself having problems remembering names and faces, please remind me where we met. " I find that if I lie about what I am experiencing, I end up just distancing myself from my friends and acquaintances and since I forget my lie, I reveal the dishonesty anyway. I do not find that people express pity. They usually say a courteous, " Im sorry to hear that.
