Guest guest
I know that the Holy Spirit will be with and lead him through this. How exciting for and all of you! Confirmation  I'm putting my faith and trust in God in that can receive confirmation at church this weekend. The only thing that would stand in his way is his behaviors. I knew the 9th graders are confirmed here and is technically in 11th grade, so I thought it was time he gets confirmed. I really expected a special exemption would be made and it can be given by the priest whenever we decide. I called the church on Monday and they got back to me today. The bishop will be here for the confirmation this weekend and we were given the option to try - so we are trying! I scrambled to get his baptism certificate from our old church faxed to our present church, call a cousin to see if she is available this weekend and then asked if she would be his sponser, and then talked to my older kids and Tim about a saints name....all between 1:30-7:00 today-- in between doing a home visit, driving across the county and doing other work at my desk..then the hour commute home. But I got it done! We chose St. Stephan because he is the patron saint of Hungary and my first big loss in life was my cousin, Steve, who died suddenly in 1976. Anyway, 's cousin will attend the rehearsal with him on Friday and then be present at church with him on Sunday. I'm going to work with him on saying 'stephen' as clear as possible - and talking to him about church on Sunday afternoon (he is use to going in the mornings and this will throw him off). I'll let you all know how it goes!!

Guest guest
He did it!!!! He behaved, slept through communion (which is ok) but did everything he was suppose to do. I questioned whether we were doing the right thing, but when I got to church earlier today and he told me I had to sit on this side (right) and he was going to side on that side (left), I knew he understood more than what he gets credit for. We had rehearsal on Friday and we talked alot this morning! I have pictures on my facebook site but will upload one here to groups soon. Not only did I want to go through confirmation, I think it's important to our church community to make visable those with different and unique needs. is such a blessing, not just to our family, but those who he touches in ways we may not even be aware of. Patty - congrats to your son! I was confirmed into the church when I was 26. Our priest is the son of a baptisit minister and he got called to catholisim 25 years ago (4 years before did). He explained things so well and he has a bit of baptist still in him, but sadly (or joyously), he answered the call to monastary life and will begin his life as a monk later this summer. Our next priest is coming from a town very close to our hometown. He'll probably appreciate pepperoni rolls Re: Confirmation >I am praying for you too, !
