Guest guest
I have been doing just. fine. Had 3rd chemo yesterday & changed up the dosage a little. Dropped to Cytoxin to 700, and the “red drug” to 700 I was having white counts dropping fast to nothing. Have taken Neupron (sp?) shots and have had two Neulestra shots ( one today). Main problem I’m having with CHOP+R is the mouth sore thing. It is bad – and lasts a good 7 days. Take all the anti fungals (mouthwashes – soda water – diflucan, etc– It is just going to last 7-10 days regardless. Makes eating difficult. When white count gets doc he puts me on Levaquin antibiotic . Red counts staying up 10 – 12 so that’s good. Have had a wonderful Christmas feeling well, and eating – Had one extra week off this time because of Holidays, so enjoyed the extra “well” week.. Gained 3 of the 5 pounds I had lost back – so that was good. Children came home so we had a nice Christmas. Had cat scans last week. He said there was still a spot where they took out the lymph node in groin area. Talking about some radiation after chemo, but said it might leave my leg in one big mess (swelling) - so will decide later. I think it would be a good idea. Discussed just having 4 chemos vs 6. Don’t know how I feel about that. Have you ever heard of this? Protocol calls for 6. Said we were making progess. Said some other nodes were showing up, but he seems to think they are CLL related. Treatment hasn’t been as bad as I thought it would. Have had lots of energy, of course taking all the prednisone makes you hyper, but I sleep good at night naturally, for I stay busy most of the time. Good wishes to all for a Wonderful 2008/ Barb N. “CLL transformed poster child”- Arkansas
