Hi Lottie:  Glad your going with the Ariad trial.  Everyone will be praying

and supporting you in this decision.  I read some posts, and I saw one where

you were debating which way to go, and what to do.  I hope and pray it works

for you like it did for a and others.

You have been a real warrior with your battle with CML in addition to everything

else you have gone through. You always have so much support and inspiration for

everyone else.

God Love You

Sue

Dear Beth in CA,

First, let me say that you are a warrior. In a short space of time, you have

endured

much, more than I went through my first year or so. I don't take credit for

being any

different, I just take it one day at a time. Because of your reporting about

your

progress with Ariad, I have requested the same trial in Phase II. I will be

leaving

for Houston on the 13th, so I am thanking you. I hope I qualify, as I am running

out of options, I have been on everything else but DC 2036. After speaking to

, I have decided to go with Ariad as everyone one is seems to be thriving

and I want a little piece of that.

As Jackie Schneider said, we like your novels, so keep writing, we want to know

how you are doing, there are people who are waiting to hear good news and your

story is good news to all of us, it sounds like a good option for me and others

who

have failed other therapies. Dr. Shah is an incredibly good doctor who has a lot

of experience with these trials and he knows well that of which he speaks. I

think we

are living in good times with these new drugs and Ariad looks the most promising

of the drugs of late, and we all like the winner. Do not lose heart if your

counts fluctuate, they are not a trend that you should be worried over. Support

groups have been there for me, so I consider it pay back time. Each one helps

one.

Carpe diem,

Lottie Duthu
