Bob...okay, now i just got control of myself from crying earlier..and you got me going again. Truly Bob, i mean it ...thank you for understanding and appreciating the words that just barely start to describe the emotions that come with an implanted ICD.

I am overwhelmed with all you wonderful people...your compassion, your concern and your acceptance...and most of all your love. Thank you for letting me be a part of your group...no matter what, i will never forget you and the warmth you have shown!!!

love...

Thank you for the information Bob. I guess it will be a fight for the

disability...not really looking forward to spending my energies on fighting

an up hill battle.

That is wonderful if you are able to get free transportation with your

wheelchair. It is amazing that anything is free from the government! Sorry

to hear that your pain has increased. Do the drs have any plans for your

hips or are they shooting for pain management?

The mornings and nights are getting crisp here in Vermont. Fall is my

favorite season. It seems to be the right temperature for someone with a

heart condition. Do you think there is a state out there that is stuck in

fall season all year?

Take care,

in Vermont

hi kelly,

sure i remember you..... glad to see you posting again.

i guess id have to say that my heart is my most serious problem and yet the

hips give me more fits and end up in first place cause the pain in

unbearable. and im still having a tuf time losing the weight.

i finally got the casino buffets under control... i only allow myself one

a week unless i have company from up north....so far only once for the

company. and im on a one month losing streak so i hesitate to go at

all.. sure will be great when i start winning again..

the pain has become so bad now that the pain doc has me on 70 mgs of kadian

(morphine) now and oxy-codone when needed.. i take an oxycodone a half

hour before i know when ill have to get in my car. and even that isnt

working well anymore.... ive pretty much decided to sell my car and try to

save enough over the winter to buy a pickup truck.... seems i can slide in

the truck without to much trouble...but the grand am,,, nothing but

screams til im finally in it... and the wheelchair is my mode of getting

around about 90 % of the time...

one good piece of news. i called the county offices and they have a

program that will take me,.,, wheelchair and all,,, to the docs, the

hospital, even 20 miles away to the va hospital when need be.. and even

once a week for groceries,,,best of all,,,it is free.... i couldnt beleive

that when i heard the government does something for free... ill have use

of the transportation to go just about anywhere within reason but if not

for medical or groceries there is fee of 4 bucks round trip.. how can you

beat that.

as far as social security goes.... i got lucky...i had a small disability

policy when i got sick with cancer 9 years ago....my benfeit amounted to

about what the social security would be and any benfit i got from ss would

be deducted from the monthly benefit on the insurance policy....the

insurance company paid for the lawyer. its pretty much a fact of life that

this country is controlled by lawyers and we just plain stuck with

that..... lawyers that become judges do what they can to make money for

the young lawyers just starting... im told that in most instances s.s. is

denied (as mine was ) automatically by the state board that makes the

decisions on each case,, then a lawyer takes it before a judge and it is

almost automatically approved, unless the case itself is an all out

fraud.... in my case it was a 3 minute hearing in tampa florida..guess you

have to go from there......i will say this,,,,shop around, some of the

younger bucks will take the case for less a percentage with no fee if you

dont win.

just went through a 3 hour power outage....god bless those people up north

that were out over a day...

to the tv i go.....

Thaks Bob for your reply. firstly why is the doctor upping your

Gleevec? are you not responding..?

And yes i do think Gleevec may have something to do with Depression

but then I also think just the emotion of walking everyday with CML

and side effects can cause a real rollercoaster in your life.

Thankyou also for your positive encouragement on how to cope

everyday life with side effects but im sure there is pleanty of

people that do push through with side effects. I guess speaking for

myself and no one else Im tired of pushing through its been a three

long hard years just being able to have a social life let alone look

after my husbands buissness and also three children one having

special needs. (i guess i was very positive in the first two years

only with the hope that the side effects would sub-side like they

told me they would) Life does keep me busy so please dont get me

wrong i dont sit around and wollow knowing I have cml or side

effects infact there wouldnt be too many of my friends that relize i

have so many. Life is a journey and we are all given different

roads some are just more rockier than others. Im sorry to hear about

your fathers death and your wife leaving you.. that in it self

would've been hard to cope with. You may find that alot of the

depression is just coming to terms with your lost. Im sorry also

that you were diagnosed this year with this disease that we have to

meet under these cirmcumstances.

Hi Bob, isn't this the worst situation to be in??? When my friends call me and start to tell me about the problems they have I just sit and stare at the ceiling.......if only I could have their little problems compared to this nightmare I'm living. Thank you for the advice. We seem to have the right "combo" to kill these things out. Nothing can live in Clorox , plus the salt on top of that catches and then dries them out and now we add the neem oil that we buy by the gallon and that really seems to knock them down. The problem with the basement is that it's too full of stored items. I was crazy to think I could wait the things out. When we put the furniture down there we thought ....well after a year or two we can bring the items back up and all will be well. Boy of boy was I kidding myself. This coming spring, during our spring clean up week, we will have to bring all that stuff up and out of there.....which means getting the things all over us....again. But we will have to clear the rooms out and spray the heck out of the basement. I don't know why they aren't coming up through our floors and getting back in our house. I guess the Clorox and salt I used on my floors was so strong that the things won't even try to come up through the floors. I know my house is ok because I walk around barefoot all the time with no problems. Sooooooooooo......if and it's a big if......if I can get them out of the basement and out of my yard we just might be ok. This is our second winter without our bird feeders and without our little dogs. I just hate having to spend more time, effort and money on this crap. It sure gets old. Thanks for your tips.......Rita

Hi Rita

Still doing the epsom dance for joy !

Thank you , Thank you Thank you !

Reduce & simplify , each item is a cleaning project , is the item worth it? . it

takes hours to strip a radio down and soak it in tuner cleaner. Wait for the bug

to hatch , then do it again. Is the radio worth the time.

Then multiply the radio or itms times 100 or 1000 and that is the hours it will

take to & #39;clean & #39; it. I think life is more vauble. Cleaning bug infested

things is not fun. But a stripped empty house is a blast. I can spray everything

in 10 minutes with a nice 30.00 backpack sprayer. I only spray epsom now. 1 cup

to 4 cups of water. And when I do a super rinse to remove the epsom residue, I

use 3 lbs epsom & 4 gal of water.

I never get bit in my house anymore. ( unless I bring in a new load from

outside in the park or woods etc. )

I live on a crawl space so they probally live down there too. I mop with borax

& all the cracks are filled tight now from the borax residue. ....ahhhhh so

nice..

I have been soaking my clothes for 12 hrs , it seems to help ,....before I boil

them for 1 hr.

The car is still clear, I gas it every week & epsom it totally, daily.

The hardest stubborn patches on my back are dying from borax baths 1 cup per

5-7 gallons of water. I use a 5 gallon bucket to measure it in the tub, then I

know my ratios by eye the next time.

Then I spot apply to the stubborn spots :

1 teaspn borax &

7 teaspns Light karo &

7 teaspn betadine (betadine is not for large areas of the body & NOT FOR IN TH

EYES)

This mix wacks them

I have never sprayed bleach yet in the house , its too smelly. I do spray it in

the shared laundry facility every day top to bottom and in the washer & under

the rim of the washer tub. It dries with no mess ,so I don & #39;t get hasseled by

the & #39;un- delusional & #39; .

Rita as for dehumidifier, epsom is an instant dehumidifier. it is so dry in my

house from epsom .

God bless you,

Bill
