I am also a Porphyria patient, along with HAE (Hereditary Angio Edema.) I was treated with Rituxan, along with Prednisone among other drugs, R-Chop, I got and continue to get chronic kidney infections, high blood, glucose, headaches with dizziness, blurred vision and cataracts, 75 lbs of excessive weight gain, a blown thyroid, now type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure. My last treatment was Sept 2007. The doctor, had to discontinue it. At this point she doesn't even want me as a patient. I am in quasi remission, the nodes on the neck the upper left palate are still swollen. It's at the point where is difficult to chew, not to mention the pain, She did referred me to Loma Medical Center to see an oral surgeon to get a biopsy of the area on April 23, 2008. If there is anyone out there with a problem like mine or sort of like mine, I would love to hear from you. Thanks . Shell Planning your summer road trip? Check out AOL Travel Guides.
