I'm sure you all understand when I say that it's so encouraging to have others that not only share their knowledge but understand our fears and frustrations as parents (or patients)and our hopes as well. More over, it's great to have others that know the simple fact that our babies truly are the most beautiful babies in the world! I love looking at all of the cuties on the photo link! I'll be sure to post a picture of Liliana here as soon as I figure out my silly camera. My husband is much better on the computer than I am so I'll have to recruit him for that task. Thank you for all of the info on Type I and II, the surgery and waiting process, and just the process of getting info. Does anyone know of any surgeons in the western U.S. that they would recommend? Dawn-Marie - you're only a few hours from us I believe, can you tell me anything about the surgeons up in NV? By the way, Tailynn is so gorgeous! She and my own daughter bear such an amazing resemblence! I'm sorry to hear about the infection, but don't loose heart - we're all certainly praying for Tailynn and your family. She sounds like a trooper.Well, off I go to bed. We had a big day today - our first trip to the zoo with Liliana! Of course she loved it and had lots to take in! You're all in my prayers and are a true blessing! Thanks! -Suzy, , and Liliana

Guest guest
Just a note to let you know that we are back from our Colorado vacation and have everything around the house straightened out that went wrong while we were gone. Well everything except for my computer. Though I did buy a new printer, the computer--particularly the Internet Explorer--is still all messed up. I may have to take everything off and reinstall it. We had a great and long vacation in Colorado, compliments of our son and daughter and families as a 50th Anniversary present. They bought us plane tickets to Colorado as a gift supposedly so we could see the new home of our son's family who had just moved there. We were told our daughter was too busy with other things to accompany us. She and her husband took us to the airport and we said, " Goodbye and we will see you when we get back! " Shortly after we checked in, Fred saw her walking up right behind us for the flight, suitcase in hand. We hadn't spotted the suitcase in the car. What a surprise! Our son had told us that they moved to the foothills of Colorado and that it was pretty flat. He and his family picked us up in Denver in two cars, as they couldn't fit us all in one car. We kept driving and driving through mountains--not a flat area in sight--and I finally said, " I thought it was fairly flat to your home. " I was told that Greg likes to take the scenic route to wherever he goes. I said, " But I thought it took only 30 minutes from Denver and we have been on the road already about an hour. " My daughter-in-law replied that the scenic route always takes longer. We arrived in a small town and asked if that was Windsor. Boy that sure is a lot more scenic than we thought. Greg told Fred that this was Windsor and drove us to a house in the mountains. We couldn't get in because the code, supposedly to his own house, didn't work. Our grandson said, " Oh, the garage doors don't match (as in the dark they appeared to be of two different colors), we need to repaint them. My daughter-in-law responded to my question, " The only thing I can tell you, it's not our house, that's all I know. " Well we tried to chase down a guy to get the correct code, but couldn't find him. Ended up in the Hyatt Lodge for the night. The next day we went back to the house in the mountains and the code worked! The surprise was that they had rented this marvelous mountain home in Breckenridge for five days to celebrate--which certainly is what we did! What a great time. Even our granddaughter flew in from Kansas City for the occasion. They had also made arrangements to meet some friends of ours who spend part of the year in Colorado to meet us in Vail at one of their favorite local eateries! We had more fun than the law allows! Afterwards we spent several days at our son's new residence, shopping, sightseeing, and doing honey-do jobs which Fred offered to do. I don't remember him being so eager to do them at home though!! But I think everything is better in Colorado. All in all, we had a wonderful time. If this is what we get for the 50th, wonder what the 60th will be like! But first we have to reach that occasion Feeling as good as we do, though, we may just make it there! Upon our return we picked up the oil painting of the two of us that Fred had commissioned a friend of his to paint as our gift to each other. That way we will always be able to remember what we looked like on this 50th Anniversary trip to Colorado! Margot
Guest guest
Hi again from me too! Hi Kathy! Way to go Kay for becoming a moderator of this group, maybe it will help keep you out of trouble, LOL!! I'm and I used to belong to this group back in 1999 when I was first diagnosed. They originally told me I had AIH but later changed the diagnosis to PBC, so I moved over to the PBC digest. I've been doing well other than the lousy symptoms we are all blessed with. I'm really looking forward to catching up with you all again! I was so happy to see Cheryl's recent post, in fact I was just looking at an old photo of you and Randy pre-transplant the other day! Ya'll made a big impact on me back then with your selfless love for on another. I even saved your post about the whole transplant process that you went through. I can't wait to hear how you are doing! Hi Joanne my friend! I've missed talking to you too and have been grateful for the updates you send to the PBC Digest.. I don't know who else is still here, but I'm excited about re-connecting with old friends and making new ones! Hugs, Dees, PBC dx 99, Fibromyalgia 99, stg 2/3, Fort Myers, FL. 53 **************New year...new news. Be the first to know what is making headlines. Guest guest
> > Tisk tisk we're not older we are senior members LOL Geo > Hi , That was my exact thought as well. I know you meant ''long time'' members, not ''old''. Nice to see you reappear, and Kathy also. Looks like Kay is on a crusade to not only help Joanne out, but to increase the membership here as well. Way to go Kay. Hugs, Jeannette PBC/AIH and one of those 'older' members
