Guest guest
more or less happend to my mum, she was 0% fish and then she got 3%, but her doctor didn´t rise her dosage of gleevec which was 400. there is a 5% false positive , so, may be you still 0%. we asked for another bmb and they said she was only 1%. [ ] Positive Fish Hi All, Please hel me to understand this. My onc just called and said that a FISH he had done several weeks ago came back with 3% positive in the interphase cells. So, He's upping me from 600 mg to 800 mg again. I was only on 600 mg for less than a year. Words of wisdom, please. Thank you. Guest guest
Hi , Easier said then done; but try not to panic. The first question I would ask is what type of probe they used to do the FISH and what the known margin of error is. Depending on the type of probe, you can easily have a false positive rate of up to 5% so your 3% could infact be a false positive. When was the last time you had a BMB? If it wasn't within the last 9 months or so, I would ask for another one just to see what's going on in the marrow and to ease your mind. Take care, Tracey > Hi All, > > Please hel me to understand this. My onc just called and said that a > FISH he had done several weeks ago came back with 3% positive in the > interphase cells.
