Guest guest
Hi I just read the post that Per Aannestad posted about her problems. When something is wrong, from my personal experience, don't think it is always your leukemia and that you need treatment. I stayed in the hospital with my mother for 4 days and picked up a respiratory infection. I felt bad, chest was uncomfortable, didn't hurt etc.My white count went from 30,000 to 70,000 in 3 weeks. My onc was ready to start rfc and I wouldn't. I Knew it was something that I had picked up in that hospital. I started on antiboitics and finally got rid of it and white count went down. Has your gamaglobulin level been checked to see if you need gamaglobulin (ivig) to boost your immune system? My next move would have been to have, had a broncosopy, if the antibotics wouldn't have cleared it up. I knew it was in my lungs, because the entire hospital smelled like they were having sewer problems. This was a private hospital and one of the cleanest. You said, your legs were swollen and they go down when you put them up. Maybe you need to see a specialist with your legs. I hope you get over that respiratory infection and start feeling better. Good luck and keep us posted. Fran Bullock
