Guest guest
The new Adult Immunization Schedule for 2011 updates states: " 5. Herpes zoster vaccination A single dose of zoster vaccine is recommended for adults aged 60 years or older regardless of whether they report a prior episode of herpes zoster. Persons with chronic medical conditions may be vaccinated unless their condition constitutes a contraindication. " This does NOT apply to CLL patients. Only when you read the charts provided does it state that the follow vaccines are CONTRAINDICATED for immuno-compromising conditions. THAT IS CLL. Zoster (ZOSTAVAX) Varicella (Chickenpox) Measles, mumps, rubella (MMR) So, please refer to the CHARTS, not simply the recommendation text.
