Guest guest
Sap from a common weed could help treat basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma non-melanoma skin cancers, in an early clinical trial. Both are found in CLL patients in greater numbers than age adjusted population and squamous cell carcinoma is far more aggressive in CLL patients. Hartley BE et al. The BBC article states a caution... " It is also very important to note that this is definitely not a treatment people should be trying out at home. " Exposure of the sap to mucous producing surfaces, such as the eyes, results in extreme inflammation and can lead to hospitalisation.
