Guest guest
I received the bad news on Friday after a PET scan. I am in New Orleans, La. My onc. is talking about R-CHOP. He is connected with MD . Is there a better choice in a clinical trial? Web sites indicate survival time of Richter's 5-8 months. He is planning an abdominal node biopsy by laparoscopy immediately, (nodes are brighter or hotter there than in neck and axillary) and BM Biopsy & a heart test because R- CHOP is hard on the heart, a concern FR 2008. Acute myalgia and weak muscles in legs started during treatment, and thereafter experienced a worsening of fibromyalgia that had been dormant & symptom free for 20 years. Flow cytometry about a year ago, indicated partial remission. Current CBC normal including Hb, and lymphs. age 75, Cll diagnosed 2003, MYVAX clinical trial for CLL in 2007. Meds-- 25mg. amtriptyline and tramadol for pain. rheumatologist work up 2-3 yrs ago, diagnosis-- fibromyalgia. Does Richter's cause a type of arthritis? Is muscularskelital pain part of the syndrome? Opinions are much appreciated . Also web sites, and current articles. Marilyn Barbera
