Guest guest
The Minnesota Department of Health has published a long term study of CLL rates on their webpage... The CLL incidence rate in Minnesota has increased modestly over the past 20 years. " CLL incidence increased by about 1.4% per year from 1988 to 2008, with similar increases for each gender. Guest guest
For the researchers and doctors out there, does the " better health care " and laboratory based reporting explain this? Could it be that this is not just a trend in Minnesota, but we are not seeing it in other places because of the above factors? Are we just catching CLL more often or is there a true increase in cases? And of course, if that is the case, what might explain it? I know the answers to any of these questions would be opinions without data to support them.
