Shingles rashes are fairly easy to tell from general rashes.

The virus lives in the sheath of the nerves and will usually appear on one side

of the body but not the other.

The easiest place to see this is on the back where the rash runs from the

spine outward in a line, but only on one side of the back...

It could appear on one side of the neck, or on one arm or leg but not the other

etc..

A shingles rash on the face can be extremely dangerous and can

lead to complications like blindness or deafness...

If you suspect shingles seek medical attention immediately...

There is some indications that the earlier it is treated the better the

recover will be...

The fifth disease also is known for the rash looking lacy. It's fairly benign, except (they say) for pregnant women. I wouldn't pay a ped to tell me what I already know. He should be fine in no time. Hope he's not uncomfortable, though.

Hope he is fine soon. Find a family doctor, a chiropractor, an acupuncturist, homeopath, or a naturopath. Someone who can help with your health but is not basing a practice on vaccines. Go to a LLLI meeting, HFS, or a midwife. ~ Maureen R. Gradvohl ~ From: "K05CORNE@..." <K05CORNE@...> Vaccinations Sent: Friday, December 16, 2011 12:49 PM Subject: Re: Rash
