Guest guest
Journal Blood has published the MD FCR trial results for pretreated CLL patients with a median age of 60yrs. (This is somewhat similar to the REACH trail- CLL4) It found: The overall response rate was 74%, with 30% complete remission. The estimated median overall survival was 47 months. Median progression-free survival for all patients was 21 months. In a historical comparison between this FCR trial and earlier FC trials the study indicates: The ORR was similar for patients treated with FCR versus FC. Patients receiving FCR experienced longer PFS (FCR -21 months vs FC -11 months). Overall survival (FCR-47 months vs FC-21 months). As part of the conclusion the paper advises: " We recommend this regimen be used with caution in patients older than the age of 70, with assessment of comorbidity status, dose adjustments, and consideration of growth factor support.
