RIGHT NOW !!! There is legislation in Congress to Change procedure with

the FDA. It is called the Compassionate Access Act designated H.R. 4732.

The compassionate act will remedy many of the complaints and difficulties

that we recently have addressed. Anyone wanting the details should go to

In essence the bill allows patients with serious disease quicker access to

successful phase I drugs and devices. Much earlier than current policies

allow. In essence, quite possibly based on the wording of this legislation,

Cal 101 (or other successful phase I CLL tx) would possibly be available

to us all possibly as early as this year....If this legislation, H.R. 4732

can get passed. Every one of us as well as our families should be heavily

involved in helping this legislation get passed.

I HAVE DONATED TO THIS CAUSE. THE BALL IS ROLLING AND THEY NEED OUR HELP.

ALL OF US SHOULD BE CALLING OUR CONGRESSMEN FOR SUPPORT OF THIS

LEGISLATION. IMO , , the CLL research organizations, and anyone else

with a

public voice dedicated towards CLL patients should be behind this cause.
