Guest guest
Getting ready for an overdue hema/onc visit, going through my lab numbers and charting the latest. I see that I've had high abs Eosinophils several times in the last six months: 2.7 rather than the normal of .05-.55. My WBC is very high at 272k, so I know some the 1% Eos which is reported could be inaccurate. Should I take the Eos and Baso numbers with a grain of salt? (Sometimes Baso is high and Eos is not, or the reverse.) Guess my question is back to .. when you have a very high WBC, how accurate are the differentials for these lesser white cells? Thanks Lynn
