Guest guest
Al - Your first oncologist sounds like mine. He told me that I had to get rid of all my animals. I got rid of him. My pets were the reason I got out of bed even at my sickest because they needed me. Having them kept me going on the worst days. He had no interest in or understanding of their importance to me. " One answer, this is the only way to do things " doctors scare me more than my CLL. My advice to anyone who is uncomfortable with their doctor(s), after my CLL ride, is dump him/her/them!!!! I worry about people who post that they don't want to hurt their doctors feelings. We pay for good (knowledgeable) care and are entitled to it. My current doctor pokes around on every visit and has never mentioned scans. I might need one some day, but for now I'm grateful for the poking and prodding.
