Guest guest
Lou, Though it is too early to tell, my overall success with PCI may be due to the LACK of prolonged and extensive treatments that were a part of Tom's past experience. The collateral damage to Tom's immune system from prior TXs maybe more telling concerning his state of current health than the failing of PCI. So far, my quality of life that includes better energy and a feeling of well being I attribute directly to PCI. It is heart breaking to hear of Tom's condition in spite of your joint heroic fight. My thoughts are with you both. WWW
Guest guest
Thank you Wayne for that thought. I think you are correct in your assessment of Tom. He saw his Dr. today and his blood counts are stable and holding. And, I also want to say that while Tom has some really down days, he also has good days. He still works like a maniac, travels by air 5X a week and exercises as much as possible. I think that his fatigue and skin rashes are due to just good old CLL. As long as he can stay on PCI the better. When he had to go off of PCI for three days because of a high fever, his lymph glands busted out all over. We could almost see them get larger by the hour. After restarting PCI, they melted away again. We feel very lucky to be on this trial. Wane wrote: /message/16075
