Guest guest
I had whooping cough about 7 years ago. My little sisters and brother also got it (they were not vaccinated, I was). Our friends unvacc children got it also but none of the parents did (they were all unvacc smokers which we thought might in someway be protecting them). My doctor refused to admit that I had whooping cough and I was sent for a couple of chest xrays. My siblings doctor agreed that they had whooping cough and well all just rode it out. My little sister was only about 2 when she had it so it was really hard for her. It took about four months to get over but I would not tell people that after they have whooping cough that their asthma will be better. I still use my inhaler all the time and I still am plagued by a low intake quantity. I was tortured with the coughs for months after the four months were up. I still for almost 6 months after when every I ran or anything of the such I would end up with a horrible coughing fit. ><< As I have stated before if an unvaxed child's immune system is so > strong, then why do they contract this disease, the majority of the >time? >> >I believe that there is more good done that we just don't know about yet >from >the contraction of childhood illnesses. This summer we practically had an epidemic of whooping cough in Hampton Roads in Virginia. I know of seven families who delt with the disease - two of them had children who were vaccinated against it. One of them was an unvaccinated infant. Everyone of these folks is perfectly fine now. I don't see how the story of my friend's asthma getting so much better after the whooping cough scares you. Perhaps her outcome isn't the average person's, but I do think it is important to remember the germ vs. cell theory - is it the seed or the soil that makes for a bad case of anything. My friend is a real natural mom and knew to take her kids off of dairy, wheat, and sugar when they started getting sick and she began treating them with homeopathics and herbals. As I stated, all of her children are fine, and so is she. This isn't scary, this is good news. The pertussis vaccine is the worst of the lot, read September's Redbook article where the doctor calls it an " embarrassment and dangerous. " Now that's scary. Guest guest
Not into watching my son cough till he is blue in the face I can do the what ifs forever. I will be having more children & as I have stated before I believe vaccines work in a good portion of people more than not doing anything at all. I have also stated before even unvaxed completely healthy individuals get chickenpox some don't I understand this. The whole thing is a roulette game. I can sit and look at the ingredients all day long in vaccines, and know they are bad for my son, but so is everything lese lotions hair spray, air, water, food, deodorant, tampons, makeup, alcohol, condoms, detergent, the list of things that are bad for us and the environment is endless. I do not live in a bubble well that is not entirely true since I have made the decision not to VAX which has been a good one up to this point, I have lived in a bubble. The bottom line is sometimes the way something's come across, you would think a lot of you wouldn't take and rely on doctors is you or your children's life depended on it. I mean come on no one would be denying all the drugs that would be needed to put your child under to have a surgery to keep him alive. If any of your children did get pertussis and it was a bad case and your child did need to be hospitalized and homeopathy was not effective, of course you would not hesitate. So lets not all sit here and be hypercritical of what reality is. I know the pros and cons of vaxing, some of you are a little to hard core for me and that is fine, I respect your decision whatever way you go & have tried some of your ideas. I will say again if I think by everything I have read, every doctor, homeopath I have spoke with, every person friend and elder that I know about this and still choose to VAX then that is my choice and I hope you can respect it. I think doctors are clueless idiots a lot of times I know more about vaccines than most of them that I have spoken with, but they know more about diseases and have seen the effects first hand. Well at least my doctors. But I would rely on these same clueless idiots to take care of my son if he needed it.
