Guest guest
- It sounds like your case is one of those where you should have asked the nurse. When I broke my shoulder the doctor told me I'd be ready to go back to work in three days, so I did. WRONG! When talking to his nurse later she told me to always ask the nurse. Over the years I've found that in many situations she is right. The nurse is the one who gets the calls when things go wrong or deals with those issues in the treatment room and is often more familiar with what the possible issues might be. I'm not discounting keeping the lines of communication open with your doctor, but sometimes the nurses know more about the after effects of treatment. I'm sorry you went through so much, but glad for you that it's over and wish you a long remission. Guest guest
Dear Pat, Thank you very much for the good wishes. The nurses were a great help in getting me the meds needed for the reactions, however they never had anyone before me with reactions to Treanda. They were however used to patients with reactions to the Rituxan. All the patients they had before me had office jobs and were able to work. Who knew? Just glad to be over the worst of it.
