Sitting Bone Pain

In the 11 years of having CLL, I have developed an unusual

symptom that I have never seen reported here before. The

complaint started around 10 months ago and has steadily

worsened over time. Basically, I am unable to sit for

periods of time, (longer than 30 mins) without experiencing

discomfort in the area of the sitting bones. I have tried 3

weeks of anti-inflammatory drugs with no effect and now try

to manage the complaint by alternating sitting and standing

throughout the day, the use of Don-nut Cushions and

physiotherapy. This does help to a degree, but for example

car travel and restaurants are no go areas now.

I have received a pelvic MRI of the Pelvis which shows no

inflation/bursitus of the Sitting Bones, but some lesions on

the pelvic bone. In 2008 prior to starting RFC I did

receive a CT scan which also identified a number of lesions

on the pelvic bone. These were biopsied and found to be

only CLL cells.

The reporting Radiologist closing conclusion was no other

significant abnormality other than CLL of the marrow and

pelvic nodes and to present my case back for Haematological

review.

Has anyone else experienced sitting bone pain?

Several people have described bone pain which doctors seem

to think is not related to CLL, but it seems that there are

so many of us with it. It sounds like you've seen a good

orthopedic doc. If not that would be my suggestion.
