The NOTCH1 gene mutation has been recently discussed in

CLL...

Here is a new study from Columbia University, NYC

Seen in about 8% of patients at diagnosis it is seen in

progression towards of Richter's (31%)

and chemorefractory patients (21%)

" Consistent with the association of NOTCH1 mutations with

clinically aggressive forms of the disease, NOTCH1

activation at CLL diagnosis emerged as an independent

predictor of poor survival. "
