Guest guest
This blood test so sensitive that it can spot a single cancer cell lurking among a billion healthy ones is moving one step closer to being available at your doctor's office in the future. Veridex and & Ortho Biotech Oncology unit will work to improve the microchip, and will be joining forces with 4 major cancer centres to start experimental studies in 2011. Further the test could be used diagnostically to monitor the effects of treatments. For CLL perhaps it would have application to detect Richter's Transformations and secondary cancers? Now, if they could only get rid of the bone marrow biopsy!
