Blood in urine (was: Time to First Treatment)

I, too, have blood in my urine. Some years ago, my PCP at

the time, was going through my records and mentioned it,

then looked some more and said " ...let's see, it looks like

you've had this for...at least, fifteen years. " That, among

other things, prompted me to change doctors but not before

we did some exhaustive testing with a urologist, who found

no apparent cause (idiopathic hematuria).

Recently, my current PCP found that there was more blood

than usual in my urine so I have an appointment with my

urologist and I have a referral to a nephrologist. It could

mean irritation from recent chemo or it could mean kidney

involvement.

I would ask your doctor to check your records and see if

this is something recent or more long-term.
