Leaders in The Arc:

A really excellent Arc event is our Annual Leadership Conference. I

encourage you to make it a priority to attend this conference.

The Leadership Conference is an excellent opportunity for staff and

advocates to learn from national leaders on vital leadership issues.

This year's main presenter is Tom Pomeranz! Tom's

presentation, " Achieving a Fulfilling Life through Universal

Enhancement, " will present administrative strategies to develop and

sustain agency-wide chemistry and culture that nurtures and

facilitates best practice. Tom is President and CEO of Universal

LifeStiles. This is a presentation you will be talking about for

years to come.

Also presenting will be Senator Steve Rauschenberger! The Senator's

presentation will be " Donut Diplomacy or How to Effectively Engage

Your State Legislators. " Senator Rauschenberger is the past president

of the National Conference of State Legislators. The Senator was also

Chairman of the Senate Appropriations Committee in the Illinois

General Assembly and noted for his knowledge of the Illinois State

Budget.

The Leadership Conference is scheduled for February 7-8, 2008 at the

Hilton Hotel in Lisle. You can make your room reservations by calling
