Guest guest
One aspect that makes CAL-101 such an attractive agent is that it does not inhibit the PI3Kinase in breast cancer or other cells outside of the hematopoietic system. CAL-101 only inhibits the delta isoform, which is not expressed in solid tumors. Rick Furman, MD W.W.WELLS wrote: /message/16140
Guest guest
Thank you Rick for clarification on my previous post. Your monitoring of this forum makes it the quality place for CLL/SLL information. I hope that the central issue, illustrated by the research of S. Nijman, is not lost on the members by my lack of knowledge of the precise mechanism of CAL-101 inhibition of PI3K in blood cancer. Let us hope that investigations analogous to Nijman's will be conducted to enhance the understanding of drug resistance in our camp.
