Guest guest
So can we assume from this that just checking our blood could be a waste of time and also misleading? It seems that a possible biopsy of a lymph node should be a routing procedure. Guest guest
The title of this post is inaccurate. This paper deals with proliferation centres. The rate of proliferation paper was by Chiorazzi N, Rai KR, Ferrarini M. Chronic lymphocytic leukemia. N Engl J Med. 2005;352(8):804–815. A node biopsy, spleen biopsy, bone marrow biopsy or blood lymphocyte counts offer a 'snap shot' of what is occurring in your CLL progression at one location in the case of biopsies. But in order to a get a meaningful picture, you need many 'snap shots' over time. Still, the clinical progression indicator that matters is still the lymphocyte doubling time (LDT) ~chris CLL CANADA WEBSITE http://cllcanada.ca
