Guest guest
I had my immunphenotype and cytogenetics redone about 3 or 4 years ago, for whatever reason. But now when I look back I wonder, why? I had no intention of beginning treatment, so what was the point? Same with a CT scan. I haven't had one of those in over 5 years either, because no matter the results, I don't plan on doing anything. All I do now is a monthly CBC, LDH and creatinine, + plus the occasional beta2microglobulin. I'm not even sure why I do that, other than it gives me some peace of mind, as well as something to look forward to every month. Guest guest
When i asked my doctor about doing tests after 6 years of normal labs, especially since some of them were never done when I was diagnosed, her answer was that there is no reason to do them unless you are considering treatment (I suppose that meaning that you have become symptomatic) because the numbers change. The same day Dr. Furman posted essentially the same answer here, so...... I'd like to know what's going on inside me, but I guess as long as I have boring labs I'll settle for that.
