Guest guest
- You need a hematologist with a speciality in CLL or at the very least a hematologist with a great deal of experience with CLL. If you go that route I would recommend at the very least having a consult with a CLL specialist. Many of the best will work through a more local doctor if distance is a problem. If you give a general idea of where you are people can give you names. You can also go to lymphoma.org/booklets and look at the list of contributors for the CLL booklet. Not everyone is there, but it does read like a who's who among CLL specialists. You can read the book on line or order copies. This is not something to play around with and it sounds like your current doctor doesn't know enough about CLL to be the right person for you. Your initial testing is important. A CBC is useful for watching for some CLL issues, but only gives part of the picture. Pat
