Hi All,

Has anyone had any experience with Rituximab alone as

therapy? I saw Dr Coutre, a CLL expert at Stanford, on

Tuesday. He is recommending Rituximab, after I see an ENT,

if the swelling in my throat proves to be critical. He said

he doesn't suggest this too often but my presentation is a

narrowed airway even though my blood and bone marrow still

look pretty good (diagnosed in Jan. 2011). As the nurse

gods would have it happen, today I had a patient that was

hospitalized because he really had a rough time going

through his Rituximab cycles...pneumonia, entubation, very

low platelets. Is this typical?

I cannot thank everyone enough who has responded to my

recent emails but try I might. THANK YOU!

Peggy
