Guest guest
" At my 5 yr olds chkup, I did ask my pediatrician why some children cried for hours after receiving a vaccine. I am not sure who wrote this but there is something of great value you in what you said and did. Rather then be defensive or put the MD on the defense you asked him intellegent questions. If you do your home work and learn to ask effective questions you will be become very effective. I would bet that that Dr walked away thinking, hmm, what a simple but good question. If he is asked again, I would bet he would look it up in private. You hit the nail on the head here. While it's fun to vent and gripe it is better to effect change. What we want is the Medical proffession backing us on this as partners. Look how powerful it was when the AAPS got involved. What about Bonnie Dunbar? That is alot of credibility coming on board. By the way, I respect the rights of those of you who are afraid for your children. I am willing to risk my job , but I would not be willing to risk a child. Above all else, take care of your children. I have a four year old but I am not worried. As a health care worker and someone who has done tons of research living in Hawaii with a New York attitude I can be be effective and safe.We all have strengths and weaknesses but as a team if we pool are resources and ad what are best talents are we can do allot.
