Hi all, I am very new to this subject; still reading and trying to

figure out what to do about my son's upcoming 18 month well-baby

check-up. This has been very time consuming!!

a question about the flu vaccine, I can see through some posts that

most of you feel strongly against this vaccine. I was wondering why

specifically. Please forgive me if it was covered in an earlier

post, I am having a hard time keeping up with the daily posts, and

not getting alot of time to read archives or older posts.

Mainly, my question is about my husband- he gets the flu every year

at either Thanksgiving or Christmas, and he gets it hard and bad, he

is hardly ever sick, and if he is it is over in two days usually, but

the flu is bad, he is miserable and often gets an ear infection too.

Last year I made him get a flu vaccine. He got sick from the vaccine

for a few days, fever, blahs, but not as bad as he does from the

flu. Should I encourage him to get it again?

second, My girls ages 5 1/2 and almost 4 yrs have acute asthma, they

only wheeze after getting a cold, then it is bad and I have to use a

nebulizer on them, we have our own. The last two years the Dr. has

given them a flu shot because of this, I hadn't noticed any reaction

to it for them, like with their dad, and I was pleased with the

result, no flu.. We have a new Dr. so I was thinking it was time to

ask about flu shots for them. Now I am wondering if it is wise.

any thoughts? Please understand, I am new to this whole discussion-

this is very hard for me, my girls are both fully vaccinated, I only

began questioning vaccines when thinking about my boy-11 months and

the whole mystery of autism. so, please, be gentle with me..!!! I

probably don't fit the profile of most people here, this is kind of a

new way of thinking for me, and I am struggling about feeling guilty

for thinking about not giving my boy any more vaccines.

thank you,

Rehmann
