Guest guest
I am 63 years old and have had cll for the past 4 years but am not on any treatment . In the past 6 months I have had a sore throat , trouble swallowing and swollen lymph nodes in my neck . I have had a scope and the doc says there appears to be some swelling in my throat and has ordered a cat scan . I find I have a hard time getting straight information from the doctors . It took me 6 months and 3 doctors to get my throat looked at . I want to know if this is a typical problem for cll folks ? What am I to expect ? If this is what I am going to live with then I want to know my options . Do you have any advice for me . I am not prepared to take chemo . I would rather deal with issues as they arise but want to have as much info as possible and the docs don't seem to forthcoming . Thanks Dorothy
Guest guest
You'll hear from many more people than me, Dorothy. Get a CLL specialist if you don't already have one. A real one. If you post where you live, you will get recommendations from this group on possible centers where you can find one. Don't wait! Alice Mod's note from : There was a recent discussion with the subject " Newly Diagnosed " . Here are two very comprehensive responses that should give you a greater understanding of CLL: /message/15514 /message/15515 The archive is restricted to members with a ID.
