Guest guest
New legislation, introduced by Sens. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minnesota) and Bob Casey (D-Pennsylvania), will require prescription drug manufacturers to give early notification to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of any incident that would likely result in a drug shortage. Currently CHOP drugs doxorubicin and vincristine are in short supply as is the nitrogen mustard used to made bendamustine. IVIG is also in limited quantities worldwide due to problems with a manufacturer. http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/737038
