Guest guest
I too am in W & W, diagnosed in Oct 2010, and also keep records of everything from all my doctors. One question though if someone can help me understand … in the first couple months of being diagnosed with CLL my oncologist monitored my lymphocyte count (absolute) – part of the routine blood tests. After the first couple months, my oncologist deleted this from the blood tests and now monitors the white blood count (not lymphocyte count). Does this make sense? Why would the oncologist monitor the white blood count over the lymphocyte count? I thought as this is a B cell cancer the lymphocyte count was an important indicator of the cancer progression. Thanks.
